IS Beard Balm SAFE FOR ALL SKIN TYPES?

Beardbrand Beard Balm is suitable for all beard types. Beard Balm has some ingredients with a score of 3 or higher on the comedogenic scale, meaning that it may clog pores when used as a face moisturizer. Beard Balm is suitable for most skin types, but if you have oily skin or are prone to acne, we recommend using Beardbrand Beard Oil as a face moisturizer instead of Beard Balm.

Note: the comedogenic scale is just one of many factors that help us predict how your skin will react to an ingredient. Ingredients derived from plants and fruits are often allergenic, but this is a potential side effect with all cosmetic products — not one that is solely exclusive to Beard Balm. Some people may experience allergic reactions to ingredients used in Beard Balm. Fragrance blends found in beard oils can also cause irritation for people with sensitive skin. Always spot-test a new beard oil to ensure your skin doesn’t react to it.
